The Finishing Post have created the branding and packaging design for The Italian Takeout range of pizzas, breads and dips.
We were briefed to create the branding and pizza packaging design for a new ‘Italian’ takeaway style brand to be sold in Waitrose stores.
We created the contemporary branding with a fun, quirky illustration style depicting familiar Italian landmarks, along with a pizza delivery person to reflect the takeaway nature of the product. Each product is colour-coded across the four pizza flavours, two bread products and dip. We worked with the printers to ensure the artwork achieved the best possible consistency across the products using different packaging substrates and print techniques. We have now rolled out phase two with four range extensions across pizza and fries. The products have been launched into Waitrose store under a meal deal offering.
