Bakkavor is an international food manufacturing company specialising in fresh prepared food. We were briefed to create the branding and packaging design for a new ‘Italian’ takeaway style pizza brand to be sold in Waitrose stores.
We created the contemporary branding with a fun, quirky illustration style depicting familiar Italian landmarks, along with a pizza delivery person to reflect the takeaway nature of the product. Each product is colour-coded across the four pizza flavours, two bread products and dip. We worked with the printers to ensure the artwork achieved the best possible consistency across the products using different packaging substrates and print techniques. We have now rolled out phase two with four range extensions across pizza and fries.
The new products have been launched into Waitrose store under a meal deal offering.
