Marketing campaign to promote sales of wine through pub chain
For our client Greene King, wine was not selling through pubs as it should, so we were called in to help find out why and create a marketing plan to help boost sales.
We found that many publicans were unaware of wine’s sales potential and even hostile to the product. So we relaunched wine as if it was a new product, in a series of easy to understand and increasingly aspirational packages, communicated through the sales team with trade presenters.
The campaign was rolled out across their pub outlets and proved to be a huge success as wine sales went up by over 20% in the first year.
